For He is Worthy of Our Praise
Student: Timothy Blais
Program: Worship Leading
kingdom that I did not know I had. With the support and encouragement from my faculty advisor and the other music students, I began working towards being confident in my ability to play and lead music. To this day, I can see how my confidence has grown and how God is using me in a new and special way.
Another major skill that I have learned from my program that I feel will help me in life after college is networking. Here at Prairie, especially in the Music and Worship Arts program, we have special guests, artists, and followers of Christ come in and teach workshops and sessions on certain topics relating to music. Guests including Steve Bell, Brian Doerksen, Brooke Nicholls and Steve Lensink, Chris Rademaker and Jodi King (Love and the Outcome), and many more. We also have had the opportunity to serve at the One Conference (previously called Breakforth) in Edmonton volunteering for the GMA Dove Awards meeting people and groups such as The Color, Worship Central, and others. To have connections and opportunities in the music industry whether you are a songwriter or a worship leader student, I have learned that networking is vital when it comes to advancing in the music industry.
