Prairie releases new COVID-19 Preparedness & Response Plan for Fall 2020 Semester

Plan Responds to Public Health Guidelines & Was Developed in Consult with Community Health Officials

As the start of the school year quickly approaches, Prairie staff and faculty have been busy developing Covid19 response plans for school safety,  instruction, and community life at Prairie, attempting to cover every possibility as we anticipate a return of students to campus in September.

Our latest iteration of the Preparedness Plan has been issued with input from partners, and importantly, from local health officials.

Our efforts will  focus on three areas:

  • Screening
  • Prevention (physical distancing, personal protective equipment like masks)
  • Policies & procedures in the case of illness

Please ensure you read the COVID19 Preparedness and Rapid Response Plan, as it has been updated with changing restrictions to specifically address the return to classes on-campus. Some of the information distributed earlier has changed, notably single occupancy dorm rooms and other details.

All students, staff and faculty will be required to sign a compliance document to acknowledge that they have read and understood the terms in the Plan.

Students will receive a briefing on the Plan during orientation.
