The Prairie College Pilots men’s basketball team hosted the Olds College Broncos (ACAC) in an exhibition game on Saturday September 21st at the Rick Down Athletic Centre on the campus of Prairie College.
Coach Petroziello’s squad led nearly from start to finish in a 111- 94 victory. The Pilots trailed only once by 2 points at the 9:51 mark in the 1st quarter. Their largest lead was 19 points early in the 3rd quarter.
“I am pleased with the manner in which we competed,” said Petroziello. “There was a great energy in the building and we want to recognize and thank the alumni, students, staff, and community members who came to support us. In just our second game together, we moved the ball well and trusted the pass in the latter stages of the game in a way that continued to generate good shots down the stretch. We aren’t pleased giving up 94pts so we will continue working defensively as that is to be a cornerstone of our program’s identity.”
