My wife Kasie and I reside in Palm Desert, California. We have been married for 27 years and are the parents of sons Justus and Kaden, both in university, and daughter Zoë, a high school student. I graduated from Prairie in 1991 and my subsequent work in the school’s admissions and recruitment department launched a 20-year career in higher education enrollment management.
After working at Trinity Western University and Olds College, God brought us to California in 2012. I now operate Suderman Solutions, a consulting company that focuses on organizational development solutions, helping companies strengthen their strategy, structure and people in order to achieve mission effectiveness. I completed an MA in Leadership at TWU as well as my Doctorate in Strategic Leadership at Regent University (Virginia Beach, VA). This has afforded me the opportunity to serve as an adjunct professor at universities in the US, Canada and Lithuania.
Prairie gave me a lot during my time as a student and while on staff. Being a board member is a small way to give back to a college that provided me with a valuable foundation. I see Prairie today as a place of prayer and honesty, and an environment where students are encouraged to go deeper. The school’s core vision of preparing missionaries is still the same. But there is a need in our rapidly changing society for a very different form of missionary and I appreciate how Prairie is equipping graduates to represent Christ in the various workplaces of life.
