Diploma in Intercultural Studies

Two Year Program (60 Credits)

This program combines one of our one year certificate programs with a GlobeTREK year.

The highlight of this 2 year program is the 8 month internship across 10 countries. Learn more in our In Depth section. This program is also offered as a 4 year Bachelor degree.

Designed for students to:

  • Test their intercultural ministry calling
  • Gain experiential learning abroad
  • Build a biblical foundation and learn about intercultural ministry issues

Entrance Requirements

Admission to this program requires completion of a professional post-secondary diploma at least two years in length OR three years of fulltime ministry experience.

During the first year there is an extensive application and interview process for acceptance to the GlobeTREK year.

Four-Year Degree Opportunity: Individuals considering full-time cross-cultural work or graduate studies should enrol in the Bachelor of Arts in Intercultural Studies (four-year program).

A highlight of this program is an 8-month internship that will lead you to at least 12 nations. You will observe and at times participate in ministry with orphans, street kids, prisoners, AIDS victims, and former prostitutes. Church planting in a creative access nation, Bible translation, and anti-human trafficking initiatives will also be on the agenda.

After a month of travel, you will immerse yourself in a ministry of your own choosing. For 6 months you will work under the leadership of mentors as well as study the local language. Then you will travel to the African continent for about a month and observe what God is doing there. The countries may change from year to year. Flexibility is expected.

Throughout the entire eight months, you will work towards completing twenty-one credits of coursework – all related to your GlobeTREK experience. Please note that the GlobeTREK fees are approx. $17,000.
