GCC Details

What is GCC?

Mission: Inspire students, staff, alumni, and community members to engage in the greatest needs of the world for Christ’s sake in local, national, and international contexts.

Vision: Our vision is to share about the diverse opportunities people have to be involved in meeting the greatest needs of the world, as well as expanding their perspective on culture, career, and calling. We hope to grant people insight into the lives of those who live in a different country or come from a different culture through activities, breakout sessions, and meeting with organizational representatives. By the end, staff, alumni, community members, and especially students should walk away with action steps to live out their faith more practically, engage in cross-cultural interactions, and get more involved in cross-cultural ministry or work.

Alumni & Community Members

Prairie College’s spring conference has had a rich history in not only impacting our students, but the community as well. We hope to continue that sentiment by inviting our alumni and community members onto campus to participate alongside our students, staff, and faculty this year.

If you are interested in attending GCC we welcome you to sit in on our four plenary sessions, which will take place in the RDAC (Rick Down Athletic Centre). Furthermore, there will be a variety of organization booths set up in the RDAC you are welcome to check out.

Please reference the schedule to see all of the session times.

Speaker for GCC 2025

Upon graduation from Ontario Bible College, Joshua went to Japan as a missionary from 1995 to 2012. Where he assisted in church planting, evangelism, discipleship, and coaching. In 2000, Joshua was called to pastor a church which grew and became a receiving base for missionaries coming to Japan from Asia. In 2012, Joshua and his wife were led back to Canada where he joined the pastoral staff in Bramalea Baptist Church and served in various roles until 2022, when he transitioned into his current postion in OM. Joshua is a kind-hearted man of God who seeks to create synergy on his team, with other OM fields, and with churches, Bible Colleges and other like-minded organizations.

Here are key opportunities you can partner with Prairie

We have launched our Campaign for Greater Impact to provide students with the very best learning opportunities and campus facilities for the decades ahead.

In Phase One of this Campaign, we plan to invest in much-needed campus renewal, including: upgraded Infrastructure, a new Student Residence, Cafeteria, Worship Auditorium, and expanded Aviation Training Centre. A modern campus requires an investment that is bold, and even expensive, but each Campaign Project is strategic, and designed to enhance Prairie’s campus and student life experience.

Expansion of Prairie Aviation Training Centre

This expansion of PATC’s facility is a key project of Prairie’s Campaign for Greater Impact. It will increase the College’s capacity to train a new generation of Christian aviators to serve God in missions, and also address the growing need for trained pilots in the commercial aviation sector.

Scholarships & Education Fund

Invest in the next generation of missional professionals. Each year Prairie College distributes over $500,000 in scholarships and bursaries to students. We are grateful for each gift that reduces the burden of students’ tuition and allows students to fulfill their God-given professions.

Prison Bible Encounter Program

Encourage inmates in five institutions across Alberta to discover or reconnect with Jesus Christ. This fund assists the students studying the Certificate in Bible program with scholarships, resources for classes, and instruction.

General Ministries

Prairie College is educating students to pursue a Biblical foundation for life and career.  Your contribution to this fund assists in minimizing the College’s general operating expenses.
