Pilots Cross Country travelled to Grande Prairie Regional College for ACAC Grand Prix race #3 on Saturday September 21st. Three Prairie student-athletes made the trek north to represent the college, and their efforts resulted in improved performances and continued our team’s preparation for the inaugural season of official ACAC competition in September 2020.
The Pilots ladies competed in their first ACAC contest. Race distance for the Women was 6.2 km. The race had 24 runners.
Maxine Scholz – (SO- Eden Prairie, MN) Time: 37.30 / Race position: 21st
Sarah Harken – (SO- Riceville, IA) Time: 38.11 / Race position: 22nd
The Steve Burgess Memorial men’s race had 30 participants competing from ACAC schools as well as Open runners. The men’s race distance was 8.25km
Lane Corbett (FR- Bowden, AB) Time: 38.25 / Race Position: 23rd
Next ACAC Grand Prix race is slated for Confederation Park in Calgary on Saturday September 28th. The Grand Prix will be hosted by SAIT Athletics. Pilots Cross Country will have runners competing in Calgary this weekend, and will conclude their exhibition season in Camrose on October 12th.
