Kim is the Associate Dean in the Practical Nursing program for the School of Health and Wellness at Bow Valley College. Kim began her nursing career as a Practical Nurse graduate of Bow Valley College over 15 years ago. She has a diverse clinical background from her years working in rural facilities, where she was required to provide care across multiple areas such as medical-surgical, obstetrics, and emergency. Committed to lifelong learning, Kim completed her Bachelor of Nursing degree and a Masters of Nursing in Nurse Practitioner while maintaining employment as a nurse and educator. She has recently been accepted into her Doctorate of Education at Athabasca University where she will focus her research on distance delivery options. Kim has held a number of roles over the last ten years at the College, where she has taught, led the Regional team, developed curriculum, coordinated within the nursing program and has been the International Liaison for the School of Health and Wellness. Kim has a strong dedication and commitment to providing a high quality learning environment for Practical Nurse learners at Bow Valley College.
Kim has worked closely with Prairie College to partner and deliver the Practical Nurse program for many years. Kim has assisted with facilitating the international practicum as well as coordination for over 8 years prior to moving into the Associate Dean role.
