The job search process can be daunting. The Career and Calling Office is dedicated to helping both current students and alumni prepare for and navigate this transition time. You may contact us for help with resume preparation or revision, aid in drafting a cover letter, interview prep and advice on how to broaden your professional network. Below you will find a number of checklists and links to career resources. If you have any questions contact careers@prairie.edu.
The Career and Calling Office can help in reviewing your personal statement, CV, or essays as you prepare your application.
An interview has a dual purpose: providing the potential employer an opportunity to envision you in their workplace and a chance for you to do the same. The end result should be clarity for both parties. A mock interview can help alleviate some anxiety, as well as help to fine tune responses. These can be via zoom or in person. Schedule a recorded mock interview with feedback at careers@prairie.edu.
Visit the Career and Calling Office (FH 248) in person or virtually to schedule help in finding a job, improving your resume and drafting a cover letter.
