Working at Prairie
Best Christian Workplace
Prairie has been certified as a 2015 Best Christian Workplace. Sixty-two staff members took part in the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) survey that compiles results from ministry organizations across North America. Results are compared against other survey participants and those who score above four on a five-point scale are certified. According to BCWI, only sixteen Canadian charities and fourteen North American colleges or universities have been recognized in the last five years.
From the foundation of the school in 1922, our heartbeat has been “To know Christ and make Him known.” We continue in that tradition, in alignment with the global church. View Mission, Vision and Values Statement.
Our Community Covenant
As a Christian educational community we seek to live according to the biblical standards laid down by Jesus Christ for His body, the Church. For the sake of fulfilling the community’s purposes, its members humbly enter into a Community Covenant which articulates our responsibilities within the Prairie community. In joining this community and entering this Covenant we are, before the Lord, acknowledging our dependence on the power and grace of God to live together according to this ideal. Statement of Faith
Prairie is an interdenominational community. The Statement of Faith provides the biblical foundation of the college's official doctrinal stance. At the same time it allows for some variation in theological perspective or position where variance is warranted by scripture. View Statement of Faith.
Harassment & Abuse
Prairie is firmly against harassment and abuse of any kind. View Harassment, Abuse or Assault Policies.
